Wildcat Yoga Club

First founded in 2016, the wildcat yoga club is a digital yoga shala devoted to sharing the teachings of yoga in service of all beings, everywhere.

Wildcats, especially lions, tigers, and leopards, are deeply significant in yogic lineages. Through practice, may we recover the wisdom and intuition of our animal bodies and connect with the discernment of our collective consciousness.

Kelly Connor Sunrose

Kelly took her first yoga class in 1997 and established a daily practice in 2000. She has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2006.

Kelly’s classes include dharma teachings from her studies in Yoga Philosophy, Tantra, and Mahayana Buddhism; Pranayama (breath-work); and movement that leans heavily on internal awareness and developing trust in the felt sense.

Over the years, Kelly has taught hundreds of weekly drop-in classes, countless workshops and series courses ranging from prenatal yoga to meditation foundations. In addition to facilitating in-person yoga experiences, Kelly has been teaching online philosophy, meditation, writing, and movement immersions to students around the globe since 2013. She has shared teachings on yoga philosophy and history, subtle body anatomy and practices, and best teaching practices to teachers-in-training, and she has mentored teachers and aspiring practitioners in-person and virtually. Kelly has shared over 250 episodes on her yoga podcast: Yoked and over 30 video classes on Yoga Anytime. Kelly writes a newsletter called “Infinite Potential Futures” that explores the habit of practice and the magic of attention. Whenever her schedule allows, Kelly offers in-person retreats that prioritize connection with land, lineage, and community.

Kelly, above all, is a student and seeker of yoga, and she is as likely to be found in the seat of the student as she is the seat of the teacher. She is devoted to daily practice and goes on retreat at least once a year to remain as close to the teachings as possible.

Lineage & Devotions

Kelly completed her first teacher training with Satya Larrea at Whole Yoga in Denver, Colorado and her advanced teacher training with Kira (Ryder) Sloane at Lulu Band’s in Ojai, California. Her most influential teachers are Ravi Ravindra, Erich Schiffmann,  Kira Sloane, Roshi Joan Halifax and Dr. John Dunne. For Kelly, the goal of practice is the liberation of all beings from suffering, and she strives to bring this motivation to each breath.
